The inflammatory process tends to be eccentric and segmental, often with skip areas (normal regions of bowel between inflamed areas). Complications of Crohns disease include: blockage of the intestine, sore and ulcers in the affected area or surrounding tissue as the bladder, nutritional deficiencies anemia, arthritis, skin problems, kidney stones, gallstones or other disease of the liver and biliary system.Both men and woman can have Crohns disease, this disease can also run-in families. Childrens who have one parent with the disease have a 7 to 9 percent lifetime risk of developing the condition. They also have a 10 percent chance to develop some form of inflammatory bowel disease. When both parents have inflammatory bowel disease the risk is 35%.The Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), since their founding in 1967, they play a role in every breakthrough in IBD research, they invest more than $384 millions into founding causes, treatments and cure for Crohn disease.
