Introduction to Informatics

The phrase I selected was bypass morbid obesity. Choosing this phrase was because, I am in the process of getting my in personal training certification. Most of the people I exercise with tell me what is the point of working out if there is a quick way to lose weight by using bypass. Most of these people are dying because they are so over weight that to lose weight, they need to burn more calories than they take in. There are three different ways to burn calories which are exercise, resting metabolic rate, and daily lifestyle, but people in today time want bypass. According to this article, the long term results of resection gastric bypass among morbidly obese patients aged were less than 18 and over 65 years in of weight loss. Burgos L AM, Csendes J A, Papapietro V K. Med Chil. 2008. Today, people want things their way and quick. I believe that the old fashion of losing weight is the safest way of losing weight. Bypass could lead to death or many different symptoms. For example, there was a 41-year-old woman in November 2002 went to a g bypass by the Capella technique for morbid obesity. One year pasted, after the surgery, she developed severe vomiting. Radiological studies find out a severe stenosis of the gastrojejunal anastomosis and two pneumatic dilatations of the stenosis failed. In February 2004, she underwent resection of the stenotic anastomosis. It showed an intact mucosa and beneath it an abscess filled with numerous filamentous microorganisms, with features of Actinomyces and a diagnosis of gastric actinomycosis. Many cases have been reported. (2002) Fernandez-Acenero MJ, Silvestre V, Fernandez-Roldan R, Corte L, Garcia-Blanch G. I went to library Home Page, then I click on database and went to the right and click on Pubmed and type in my phase bypass morbid obesity , then I went databases, then click on alphabetical list of the databases, then went down and click on web of science and type in bypass morbid obesity too. My outcome of these search was to understand the library website and understand different ways to make my searches and understand it for later future.
