Given all of marketing messages with which you’re confronted, think of three that target you, your family, or some other group close to you that you find particularly distasteful or even unethical.

Think back on what you’ve learned about the influences on consumer behavior to provide a thoughtful answer to these questions:

  • Did you always find them distasteful? If not, why do you think your response has changed?
  • Do you think greater regulation is necessary to direct and monitor such ethical concerns? Why or why not?
