PART 1

respond in 250 words:

After many conversations your organization has decided that there is a need for internal testing in the organization. They feel this may help provide efficiencies they have long sense desired. The hiring process as you know takes too long so leadership has asked you to identify individuals internally that should be recruited as inspectors. Chapter 19 explains requirements for Inspectors but of course no one fits all of the requirements in your organization. Therefore, you need to decide which of the requirements are most important to select individuals in your organization to be inspectors based on the nature of your organization’s business. Please explain which requirements you feel are necessary if inspectors were going to be recruited internally to help increase your organization’s efficiencies operations/products/services/etc.

PART 2

RESPOND IN 100 WORDS:

My organization provides services to students and our community, so some of the most important skills for an Inspector hired to conduct internal testing, such as auditing of those services, would be 1) Knowledge and skill, 2) General knowledge, 3) Technical skills, 4) Responsibility, and 5) Cost-consciousness. In Chapter 19, our textbook describes the types of skills that are required of an inspector. It seems obvious that an Inspector of the professional services provided by an educational institution, in both the areas of teaching and in providing student services, which involves financial services and registration services, would need to have a full working knowledge of the quality standards so that they could thoroughly and completely audit those services for accuracy and ethical standards. Inspecting the areas of instruction, financial aid to students, financial statements, and admissions would require technical skills to ensure that the institution was complying with requirements of auditors, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) accreditation requirements, and the Federal financial aid requirements. Our institution must also meet the requirements of other educational institutions in complying with the articulation agreement between the two colleges to accept the credits earned by students enrolled in our institution when they transfer to a Bachelor program at another institution

Part 3

Think about a problem in your organization(loss of packages at post office). Create a fish bone diagram to help determine how you might get to the root of that problem. Make sure you use multiple branches and sub branches to help you fully investigate the issue. I will be looking specifically at how you choose to investigate the problem. You can use PowerPoint to create your diagram but if there is another application you want to use, that is fine just as long as I can open it and review your work. No write up is needed but if you want to utilize the notes section or add audio to your slide to help me understand your thinking it is fine but not required.
