The Christian Biblical narrative discusses :

Creation: He who is the creator of all things. He who created the universe, the mountains, the valleys and the hills. All living, breathing things he created. We were vreated in his image/likeness.

Fall: Occurred when the created order was broken. Adam and Eve were tempted by sin and sinned. This allowed sin to enter the world, causing disease, sickness, pain and suffering. 

Redemption: This was the continual struggle after the fall to regain shalom. At this time Jesus was crucified to restore a proper relationship with God. In John 3:16, it says that “for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” 

Restoration: is when God made available a way to salvation. So that we may be saved and follow him. It also speaks of Jesus’s return for his people at the end of times.

The nature of God in reality is that,he crucified his only son so that we may live and have eternal life, that is an unremarkable gift to the world. All he asks is that we accept him as our personal saviour and live our life according to his example and represent him. So that ” I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life.” (Psalm 27:4) The reality is, he is with us during the bright days and the dark days.

In a sinful world where there is sickness and disease, we must trust in him and his word to see us through it all. Our light is found when we believe and trust in him. We find hope in knowing that he who crucified his own son, loves each one of us. He is with us during sickness and as followers of him we know he is with us, and when it is our time to leave, we will live with him forever and ever. 

Redemption was needed to create shalom because without order, what would have happened. Unfortunately in this world we live in, order is an issue. But as christians we need to focus on him, our creator not the earthly leaders. He can take care of it all. Implications occured from the sins of Adam and Eve. But it started the sequence of events that occured..Without the fall, redemption and restoration may not have occured. The “end goal is SALVATION and final RESTORATION. (Lecture 3, 2015).
