Annotated Bibliography

Read, summarize, and analyze 5 additional scholarly readings of your choice about persuasion. Dr. EFB recommends getting articles approved before starting, but largely articles that follow the guidelines below will qualify. The bibliography will also include a 2 page synthesis of the core ideas of the readings with a reflection on their value for persuasion theory. This will test your understanding of advanced, graduate level readings and integration of course concepts. You will also practice note-taking via annotated bibliographies for use in preparing for the second year culminating experience.

Article selection
The articles may take a rhetorical or interpersonal approach.

Articles must be in a scholarly, indexed communication journal including but not limited to:
o Argumentation and Advocacy
o Journal of Communication
o Communication Monographs
o Journal of Applied Communication
o Human Communication Research
o Rhetoric & Public Affairs
o Argumentation

Tasks
-Locate 5 readings (based on below criteria) for an annotated bibliography
-Write an annotated bibliography entry for each reading following the guidelines below
-Synthesize your understanding of all 5 readings into a 2 page reflection about what was learned from the readings as a whole, how they contribute to our understanding of persuasion theory, how the readings may inform future graduate work and/or a future career, and a vision for future projects based on perceived gaps or limitations represented by the 5 articles.

This assignment will earn points based on the quality and full completion of 5 annotated bibliography entries and the 2 page reflection. The entire assignment will be graded out of 100 points.
