Key stakeholders of an organization are its funders, managers, operators, users, and clients. In order for a project to succeed, you must have support of all of your stakeholders. It is therefore necessary for an organization to make its stakeholders interested in the proposed or upcoming project.

As a senior analyst for a major project within your organization, you are determining which strategy to employ in order to change the self-interests of the stakeholders.

Create a one- to two-page report in Microsoft Word and include answers to the following questions in it:

  • How would you define the self-interests of stakeholders when managing a project?
  • What techniques would you use to reward stakeholders when they support upcoming projects or the implementation of a new system?
  • What techniques would you use to take action against stakeholders when they show considerable resistance to the implementation of a new system?
  • Which technique do you think is the most appropriate when it comes to changing stakeholder self-interests? Why?
