CMET438 CSU Impacts of The Implementation of Artificial Intelligence Paper

In the 2018 State CIO Survey (Links to an external site.), conducted jointly by The National Association of State Chief Information Officers, Grant Thornton LLP and CompTIA, state Chief Information Officers (CIOs) were presented with questions reflecting on new and existing technology issues affecting state government.

In one section of the survey, respondents identified agency readiness, budget, and security/identity management as the biggest challenges in delivering digital government services. These challenges likely led to the unfavorable response to the question “what emerging IT area will be most impactful in the next 3-5 years?” Only 29% of respondents said artificial intelligence/machine learning.
