In order to develop your business plan presentation you believe it will be important to develop a catchy slogan to describe your business. Share your slogan with your classmates and critique the slogans presented by two of your classmates.
Taglines will define your products or company with the fewest words. You have five types of taglines they are descriptive, metaphorical, aspirational, simple, and comparative. “Author Duane E. Knapp in “The Brand mindset” writes that taglines describe the emotional and functional benefits of a product or brand. “The tagline tells the consumers ideally how they hopefully will feel about the brand” (Anthony, Para. 2). These are ten tips I found from ten different entrepreneurs.
Well what I see is that you need to keep it short, simple, to the point, something people will remember in the real world, and easy to remember. So now that brings to my tagline. The store name is Texas Dollar Store and More. My Tagline well I have come up with two of them not for sure which one I will use yet, but here they are “Stretch you Dollar More” and “Is always the one”. A great tagline will get you apart from your competition. You can be selling the same thing but one company has a tagline that is easy to remember and the other company has something people does not like or relate too.
2) Since my company is based on marriage counseling, the slogan is: “A couple that stays together, seeks help together.” Company slogans are just as important as the company’s mission. A slogan can be defined as “a brief attention-getting phrase used in advertising or promotion” (Mochari, 2014, para 2). My company slogan main focus is to establish unity between couples. I have always heard the phrase, “A family that prays together, stays together.” That phrase reiterates the importance of religion and prayer. Similar to the religious phrase, I want my clients to understand the importance of seeking help together if they want to remain as a unit. Divorce and Marriage takes two people. One person alone cannot complete the act. Two willing parties have to be willing to seek help. Some couples seek counseling because one person feel it is necessary. However, if both parties are not committed to counseling, it will not work. Ilyan Mochari stated in an article in Inc., “slogans done right will not only inspire a customer base, it will properly reflect the priorities of the entire organization” (para. 11, 2014). Many companies such as Burger King, LG Electronics and Under Armour changed their slogans to better satisfy their clients and make their clients feel welcomed when using their products. For instance, Burger King recently changed its slogan from “Have it your way” to “Be your way” to make customers feel content with being who they are. The slogan suggest, “it’s an individual choice to eat [at Burger King] and people can make their own choices” (Mochari, 2014, para. 12). With obesity being such a controversial issue, Burger King took a huge risk of encouraging people to eat at their restaurants and being happy with whatever they order. However, their change in slogan was geared towards their customers. I want to do the same for my clients. Although I want my clients to understand the importance of unity, I also want them to feel comfortable in whatever outcome they decide on.
