Writing The Scholarly Case Study
Write a 5 to 7 page (excluding the coversheet and reference list) scholarly case study paper. The paper must include a Northcentral University coversheet and reference list; at least 5-scholarly peer reviewed studies published in the past 5-years; demonstrate correct APA formatting; and adhere to the case study paper outline below.
A case study is an illustration of an issue. Therefore, you should analyze the case study you have selected for this assignment and address the key issues, using the case study to illustrate the problem and probable solution(s).
Introduction
A general overview defining the key issues and telling the reader what the paper is about. In some courses, students may want to use the textbook to help define the key issues.
Background/Summary of the Case Study
In one half page or less, succinctly synthesize the case study to give the reader a general overview of the case study.
Example: In 1985, Company X was faced with….
Literature Review
This is your critical analysis of scholarly peer-reviewed sources/studies and is where you establish your theoretical foundation for your argument (theoretical framework). The literature review should be a synthesis of other studies related to the key issues and should not use the case study used in the background section above. This section should be written the same as a regular scholarly paper as you did in Activities 3, 5, and 6 above.
Discussion/Findings
What you found out based upon your literature review as applied to the case study. This section should be written the same as a regular scholarly paper as you did in Activities 4, 5, and 6 above.
Recommendations
Identify what organizations can do to address the gaps in the marketing issues related to your literature review and discussion. Provide one or two calls for action. This section may reference the case study if needed.
Conclusion
Concluding your paper; remember to tie the conclusion back to your introduction. This section should be written the same as a regular scholarly paper as you did in Activities 5 and 6 above.
References
Follow APA chapter 7 and remember to use the DOI or URL instructions described in APA section 7.01.
Length: 5-7 pages not including title and reference page
References: Minimum of 5 scholarly resources.
