Identifying Customers

Your goal is collect and report on statistical data as research paper for retail perspective of identifying the customers in your state.  

Visit: www.census.gov for the most current available data for any geographic area from the entire nation to any county or town in any state. Once you are on this site, you can specify what kind of information you want. Under the Data Tab, “http://www.census.gov/data/data-tools.html”  Key Tables to consider: QuickFacts, The American Fact Finder and Census Explorer.

Address the following in your paper:

• First identify a State that you will use for this scenario.  The State is TEXAS
  • At minimum collect the following statistics:
    • occupations and average pay per occupation 
    • average monthly mortgage
    • education levels
    • median home value
• Write a 2 to 3 page Report identifying the customers of your state, including the key statistics found. Be sure to provide some background information on wither there is a trend, increase or decrease etc. In order to conduct a trend analysis, be sure to review previous and current years data.
